How to install the landscape fabric
1. Pull the weeds & Rake up debris
- Pull up those pesky weeds before you install your landscape fabric
- Comb your garden rake through the soil to gather loose debris
- Level out the soil at the same time
- If your garden or flower bed already has existing plants
- Option one is to cut small slits starting from the fabric’s edge.
- Option two is to cut X-shaped incisions.
2. Install the fabric around the plants
3.Secure the landscape fabric
• With your landscape fabric spread across the garden bed, it’s time to secure it with garden staples.
• Secure the staples using a mallet or hammer
• Install the staples every foot along the fabric’s edges
4.Spread mulch over the fabric
• Spreading mulch above your garden bed is optional, but exposed landscape fabric can be an eyesore.
• Accentuate your garden and flower beds with a 2-inch thick layer of textured, deep-colored mulch.
